Cradled between three towering volcanoes. Rich dark chocolate, candied orange peel, and warm baking spice.

The Antigua Valley of Guatemala is world-renowned for producing some of the most complex, elegant coffees in the Americas. Grown at extreme elevations above 5,000 feet in mineral-saturated volcanic pumice, these Bourbon and Typica Arabica trees thrive under cool mountain nights and frequent sun. We roast this lot to a refined medium profile to unlock its signature Antigua terroir: deep baker’s dark cocoa, sweet candied orange brightness, and a lingering dusting of baking spice with a creamy, velvet mouthfeel.

ORIGIN & REGION: Antigua Valley, Guatemala (Fuego, Agua & Acatenango Slopes)

ELEVATION & SOIL: 1,500 – 1,800 MASL · Mineral-Rich Volcanic Pumice Loam

VARIETALS & PROCESS: Bourbon & Typica · Fully Washed & Sun-Dried on Patios

TASTING NOTES: Dark Cocoa · Candied Orange Peel · Sweet Nutmeg · Golden Brown Sugar

BEST EXTRACTION: Chemex Pour-Over · French Press · Automatic Drip · Velvety Espresso

✨ TRY IT: Spiced Antigua Aztec Mocha

Ingredients:

  • 6 oz hot brewed Guatemala Single Origin Coffee (or 2 shots espresso)
  • 1 tbsp dark chocolate sauce or raw unsweetened cocoa
  • Light pinch of ground cinnamon and a microscopic pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 2 oz warm frothed oat milk or whole milk

Method: Whisk dark cocoa, cinnamon, and cayenne into hot Guatemala coffee until dissolved. Top with silky warm frothed milk for a decadent, warming cup that accentuates Antigua’s natural chocolate-spice character.

Pour-Over Tip: In a Chemex or V60 with a paper filter at 200°F, Guatemala reveals exceptional clarity, highlighting subtle citrus oils and lingering cocoa butter sweetness.
