🧭 SCA Flavor Wheel

Read notes from the center out: identify broad groups (Sweet, Nutty, Fruity) before pinpointing specific notes (Cocoa, Pecan, Apricot).

💨 The Aerated Slurp

Take a sharp, loud sip. Aerating sprays droplets across your palate and nasal cavity, releasing aromas you can't detect with quiet sipping.

👃 Dry vs. Wet Aroma

Inhale the dry grounds to catch delicate floral esters. Once hot water is poured, smell the wet crust to detect deep caramelized sugars.

🌡️ 3-Stage Temp Test

Hot (180°F): Roast & body lead. Warm (140°F): Sweet spot, sugars bloom. Cool (105°F): Terroir & origin acidity shine.
